Types of Retreats Directed Retreat: You meet with a spiritual director daily. An atmosphere of peaceful quiet allows you to enter into a sustained silence in order to pray more deeply, listen more carefully, and respond more fully to the Spirit's movement within. Private Retreat: Create your own retreat experience. The resources of our facility are at your disposal: libraries, prayer rooms, spiritual direction, Unity Chapel, gazebo, and walking trails. Program Retreat: Plan to come at a time when a spiritual program of your choice is scheduled at Transformations. The program then becomes a part of your directed or private retreat. At-Home Retreat: This retreat experience, based on the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius, can be done in the comfort of your own home and in the context of your everyday life. Although adapted to your own pace, the retreat usually spans a period of six to eight months in which you meet with a retreat director at least twice monthly and set aside a daily prayer time.
